Speaking: Presentations by Rolf Claessen

In my presentations, I convey complex content relating to patents, trademarks and designs in simple language and with many practical examples. The presentations can be aimed at decision-makers and managers, specialists, but also at professional colleagues.

Entertaining, catchy presentations are important to me as a speaker so that the audience can take something away from them. Sometimes I also hand out beer, chocolate or other visual aids to illustrate my point.

Short biography Dr. Rolf Claessen

Dr. Rolf Claessen is a patent attorney in Düsseldorf and advises companies on all issues relating to patents, trademarks and designs. He is an author, speaker and is known to the public through his participation in the Sat.1 show “Wie genial ist das denn ?!”, his YouTube channel and his podcasts.

Detailed biography Dr. Rolf Claessen

Dr. Rolf Claessen is a patent attorney in Düsseldorf and advises companies on all issues relating to patents, trademarks and designs. He is an author, speaker and is known to the general public through his participation in the Sat.1 show “Wie genial ist das denn ?!”, his YouTube channel and his podcasts “IP Fridays” and “Markenpod”. He is the author of numerous articles in specialist journals, online magazines and books. After completing his doctorate in chemistry at the State University of New York, he began training as a patent attorney in 2003 after a brief stint at a nanotechnology start-up. He mostly advises medium-sized companies from Germany, but also foreign companies that need protection for their intellectual property in Germany or Europe. He is a member of many professional associations and is an honorary member of the Wirtschaftsjunioren Deutschland (Junior Chamber International) and Rotary. Dr. Claessen has three children and lives in Cologne.
